HEARTLAND FARMERS POWER THE NATION.

FARMERS FOR A FAIR DEAL

Farmers for a Fair Deal is a nonpartisan organization advancing America’s energy infrastructure through meaningful grid modernization. Our mission is to strengthen reliability and resilience in the face of rising demand while keeping investments in the regions that power America.

Families in America’s Heartland face a double crisis: crop prices falling year after year and energy costs climbing sharply. The result is pressure on farmers, rural communities, and the values that have always powered the Midwest. Farmers for a Fair Deal brings together farmers, working families, and local innovators to push for commonsense agriculture, energy, and infrastructure solutions that put America first and strengthen the communities that feed and fuel our nation.

Our Priorities

Modernize and Strengthen America’s Power Grid

We must expand and modernize our energy infrastructure. Private investment in the grid—including thousands of farmers and rural co-ops—will strengthen Midwestern industries, create jobs, and lower costs for families. An all-of-the-above energy approach ensures affordable, reliable power and levels the playing field for small farmers and working families.

Keep Energy Investment in the Heartland

The Midwest powers America. Policies should keep federal and private energy investments in the same heartland communities that sustain the industry. Reinvesting locally strengthens farmers, infrastructure, and small towns. As crop prices fall and costs rise, directing private capital to rural areas improves affordability and resilience for families and industries alike.

Prioritize Small American Agriculture

Family farms are the backbone of America, yet too often sidelined and left out of major market opportunities. Farmers for a Fair Deal works to ensure small producers receive their fair share through thoughtful policy, fair competition, and expanded access to growing markets. Supporting small farms means protecting the spirit, values, and hard work that define our nation.
