FFAFD APPLAUDS PRESIDENT TRUMP’s FOCUS ON FARMERS ROLE IN ENERGY PRODUCTION

Farmers for a Fair Deal applauds President Trump’s focus on policies that strengthen America’s farmers, rural energy production, and the communities that power the heartland. In his speech today in Clive, Iowa, President Trump reinforced the importance of supporting rural agriculture and energy production in the Midwest. We look forward to the Trump Administration's finalization of 45Z rules as a key lever to support the President's rural agenda.

Our region leads the nation in biofuel production, making our farmers critical to the country’s economy and our national security.  Energy policy plays a central role in shaping long-term success for farmers and energy producers alike. With clear, commonsense implementation, policies like 45Z can encourage greater investment in the rural electric grid, energy production, and the economy as a whole. 

Getting energy policy right matters, especially for farmers making long-term investment decisions. When energy and agriculture policy are in sync, farmers have the confidence needed to invest and plan, strengthening both food security and energy security.
